Eider Cottage is a two bedroom stone built former miller’s cottage situated yards from Budle Bay a renowned ornithological paradise and just under two miles to Bamburgh village.

Self Catering
The Old School House is formerly the male school sponsored by Bamburgh castle and is one of the oldest stone houses in the centre of the village, built c. 1800. It is currently converted into two separate houses and after many requests we are pleased to offer one for holiday rental.
 

 

Bamburgh is now a restful village dominated by its magnificent castle and with mile upon mile of golden sandy beaches to enjoy, a wonderful village green where cricket and football are a regular event. Horseriding on the beach, tennis courts and a spectacular links golf course with stunning views, make this the ideal location for everyone.

The stunning Bamburgh Castle towering 180ft above the pretty village to one side and the golden sands the other is one of the most unforgettable sights. The recently rebuilt Grace Darling Museum where the story is told of the lifeboat heroine who single handedly rescued nine sailors from the wrecked SS Forfarshire off the Farne Islands in 1838

Holy Island the birthplace of Christianity in England originally known as Lindisfarne and often described as‘ The jewel of the Northumberland Coast’ The Lindisfarne Priory founded by St Aidan and monks from Iona was where the Lindisfarne Gospels were written, celebrating the life of St. Cuthbert who is buried on the Island. There are nature reserves, old limekilns and a restored tidemill on the island which is linked to the mainland by a causeway which can be crossed at low tide.

The pretty villages of Ford and Etal, Cragside house and gardens, the magical Alnwick Castle a location for the Harry Potter film and the contemporary Alnwick garden are all within easy reach and also a ‘must see’

      

The Northumberland National Park provides a wealth of picturesque and fascinating countryside which undulates beneath the Cheviot Hills. From the dramatic coastline into an area of wild moorland Northumbria will take your breath away.
